Meet LAC Lina
Lina Langford is one of AccessAbility's Local Area Co-ordinator for Invercargill
Lina looks forward to working in her new role as an LAC. She is excited to be able to walk alongside people and their families as they work towards their dreams. She wants to be able to share in the successes and challenges people encounter as they work towards a good life.
"Like everything else in life, I believe that there will be challenges and disappointments. There will also be victories and positive outcomes. And to do it all, we, as a people, with the same goals and aspirations, can achieve and overcome anything."
Lina has had a varied career, working in HR, Accounts, Payroll and Office Administration. For the last 13 years, she has worked in theNew Zealand Defence Force as a soldier and Army Administrator. She describes this as a special period in her life, travelling, meeting people and serving the community.
Lina is married with two young children. She and her husband are also parents to their two 19 year old nephews, and Lina's younger sister who was born with cerebral palsy and is hearing impaired.
